La Rochelle is a little Paradise which lays nestled close to the main blue flag status swimming beach in Meerensee, the beach and lake suburb of Richards Bay, which has incidentally becomes one of the most popular holiday destinations in KwaZulu Natal  because it is so central to so many game parks and off coarse the many marine sport and recreation activities.

In a nut shell, when one drives past La Rochelle, there is not nearly as much to observe however our paradise lays in the rear of our premises, where you wakes up with the splish-splash of the old water wheel at the koi pond.

Due to the large veriaty of bird life that frequent our many huge trees on our property, we are affiliated to the Zululand Bird Watchers Assosiation and form part of the Bird Watching Route.

At night when the garden lights come on, you can almost hear the Goblins and the fairies in the garden talking as they prepare for their nights activities. 

Now wonder all our guests have to be lured from their cameras and the beautiful garden into the dining hall for a huge farm house breakfast in the morning.  

 Guests may choose to spend time on one of the numerous popular beaches, all only a few minutes away by car, or soak up the sun and sip cocktails while relaxing around one of La Rochelle's two private pools.

The Tuzi-Gazi Waterfront is only 3 minutes drive away from us, where you can enjoy lovely seafood platters or matured steaks while enjoying the relaxed view of the marine and Small Craft Harbour.

Enjoy the warm hospitality in our 3-star graded Guest House with 9 colourful en-suite bedrooms all with TV, M-Net, 2 movie and 2 sports channels. Refrigerators, coffee / tea facilities and full toiletries are available in all these rooms. In addition there are   4 self catering units with fully equipped kitchens and their own separate braai facilities. All rooms and units are fully serviced on a daily basis. 

The beautiful en suite bedrooms and self contained units all have airconditioning and overhead fans to ensure you of perfect climate control in this warm tropical climate.
